The Tanzania Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2011, scheduled for September 28thand 29th 2011 is the inaugural of what is going to be an annual event on Tanzania’s business calendar. The objective of the summit is to create and initiate discussions about the promotion and facilitation of small and medium enterprises growth as a solution to the escalating problem of youth unemployment in the country. The initiative is being championed by the Tanzania Private sector Foundation (TPSF), The East Africa Speakers Bureau and Youth Entrepreneurs Support Initiative.
This year’s theme is: Unleashing Innovative Entrepreneurship Aptitude for Small Enterprise Growth and Employment Creation. The focus will be to motivate young entrepreneurs, identify business opportunities and build the capacity of SMEs so that they can grow and create jobs.
We believe that entrepreneurship can give young people a unique opportunity to transform their life chances; to build sustainable economies, strong communities and a stable, prosperous nation.
